[move] as i said i guess some bright spark will come up with a long long long post that does nothing but move so you cannot really read what it says.. [/move]
[updwn] [shadow]or combine the two styles and i will see what really is going to happen here[/shadow][/updwn]
[move][invert] and then maybee try to get really cockky and do something like this so you cant read a thing.......[/invert][/move]
Oh well seems you cant add 3 of the new tags as it causes a table error on the page....

[updwn]You two are making me dizzy! [/updwn]
Steve,
Don't give me too much credit. Some of the effects were easy, just used the titles you gave the threads. I had to cheat a bit to figure out the scrolling text.
I have to agree with John on the horizontal scroll. Is there any way to adjust the speed?
I don't know of any way to adjust the speed. I looked at the code, but there's nothing obvious.

Makes one dizzy for sure................Mullo :p
scrollamount=1
try adding that into the code used for the marquee as its in the vertical but not the horizontial scrool..
Thanks John. I was looking at the horizontal, not the vertical. The vertical one already had 'scrollamount=1' so I changed it to 'scrollamount=2'.
[updwn][shadow]Is this better? :)[/shadow][/updwn]

[move] its this thats too fast[/move]
[updwn] was ok on slow speed gave you chance to read it[/updwn]
Looking at them both i kinda like the updown one but the side ways one is a bit.....
could it scroll the other way so as to make it easier to read..
thats right to left
Can the horizontal scroll move Right to Left ?
Just a thought.
how do you do that???????
Rick,
I'm not sure. I haven't gotten that far yet.
Ian,
There is a way for you to find out how this is done! You'll have to be a bit clever. ;)

[B][move]Oh so that is how it works[/move]
[updwn] I may have cheated a little[/updwn]
Ian:
If you used the hint in one of John's posts, then I don't think you could call that cheating. That is how lots of folks find out how cool things on the internet work.
However, there are some people that try to hide everything from view. Too many people borrowing but not giving credit to the folks who did the writing.
I see you are getting the hang of it quickly though; your post to Steve and Marlena's Birthday thread came out looking really good!
:D

Oh dear time for a bath in wd40 then for me :hammer:
I thought that it would be in the hack Steve has added that controlled the direction
Me i just went to another forum (were Steve is [move]ONLY[/move] mod)..
Just how do you do that.........
John,
Look at my marquee post. Now think of the vB code you use to make the vertical scroll work. What is missing on the horizontal scroll code?
What is going on here??
Is this something only techies can do or is it tied to MS Explorer, or PC's vs Mac's?I can't seem to find any horizontal or verticle controls-or flip controls etc.etc.right on down the list of new threads in the test forum. This is patently unfair to fledgling moderators!
Please don't anyone say DOH!
