Hello All!

One of the benefits of growing up in a large (6 brothers and sisters) Irish Catholic family is the benefit of becoming a Great Aunt a little before your time. This is my 3rd great neice, but the newest. Keola Naomi was born May 12th and weighed in at a whopping 6 pounds and 14 ounces. She is small, but mighty.

:) Congrats on the new baby! I have a great-niece and a great-nephew on the way. I have managed to convince myself that since I am not a grandmother (yet), this great-aunt thing doesn't "count". How would we get through the day without our rationalizations!!!

Steve, hope this finds you and Marlena well, back about 4 years ago i rcvd some gold transition molded lenses from a company out in Oklahoma, who if i remember right posted on the board and i wrote a post back about them, i,m trying to find out who that was. I know what you mean about the Grandma and Great Aunt Thing Chm. I was messing with my sister about 3 years back her son was the first to make me Great. I was calling her "Grandma, Grandma" and watching her cringe and she said "Okay, Great Aunt Cindy" for a minute the world went dark.

A good friend of mine is about to become a grand-mother at age 38. :o She's already decided that no-one can call her "grandma." Her choice is "jai-ma" -- the word "jai" is Sanskrit for "great". And, because many folks won't know what it means, it's a good code . . .

So, congratulations, jai-aunt! ;)

Cindy, little did I know yesterday afternoon when I read your post, that my daughter had just gone into labor! So for sure I am joining you in the birth celebration mode!

I like that jai-aunt. I can live with that. Of course, this is the third great niece. The first is nearly 3 now, so I have had some time to get used to it. But, I like her never say Grand philosophy!
