Vote on OptiBoard Meeting Time

Well, what time would you like to meet? Essilor will be happy to host the OptiBoard meeting any of the above times (Thursday is a bad day due to meetings at the booth).

I made the poll a "multiple choice allowed," so feel free to vote for more than one choice.

After we get about two or three more votes, we can choose between just two times... Looking like we could either go with 11am-1pm on Saturday (which would overlap 10 of the votes so far), or 2-4 Friday (which would overlap 7 votes).

I think now we might need to determine how many people absolutely couldn't make it if it were at either of these times.

I could be there for a short while at 11 on Saturday, but Friday's out altogether, as I plan on heckling a couple of Laurie's classes from 2 to 4.

Does anybody (who cannot make these times) want to hook up early Friday morning (Venetian food court) for coffee and a little fellowship? I am thinking early morning, before things get rolling, say around 7:30 to 8:30 am. If not, I want those of you who can find the time on Thursday, to PLEASE come by the Shamir booth (#12075) and introduce yourselves. I genuinely hope to meet at least some of you, face to face!

I can meet on both Friday and Saturday. The Venetian Court would be fine for Friday.

Who says we have to set up just one meeting? Why don't we arrange a time to meet on Thursday at the Shamir booth, and we'll also meet at the Essilor booth at:

11am - 1pm on Saturday at the Essilor booth

I'll tell our event coordinator to expect around 20 people, so don't let me down!

Susan, any time in particular you want us all to drop by on Thursday?

I think it should be Shamir's booth on Friday and Essilor on Saturday. While we won't get everyone all together at once, at least this will allows most of us to catch up with some of our fellow OptiBoarders. :)

I'm flying out Sat am, so I can't make the Essilor meeting. I'll be at the Shamir Booth in between classes on Thursday and Friday. During class, I plan on heckling Robert right back if he dares.

Getting together at the Shamir booth Friday morning would be great and I KNOW that the Shamir team would very much welcome the group. Because not everyone will have an official "exhibitor's" pass to the show floor, we should probably plan to meet as soon as the exhibit hall opens to all attendees on Friday morning. I think that is around 9:00 or 9:30 a.m. That gives me JUST enough time to meet those who can come, as my flight leaves early Friday afternoon and I'll need to head to the airport late that morning.

I'm going to try to make BOTH meetings. Last year I pretty much woked straight through the show and got to visit the show floor for a verrrry short time. And I work in the same building!
