    Question Intraocular lenses after Cataracts

    Hi everyone,

I have a question. After my cataract surgery from a Markham Optometry, i used normal glasses. I prefer using lenses as it is not necessary to care about glasses. Now my question is, is it possible to use custom made lenses after Cataracts? I have heard of the Intraocular lenses (IOLs). Has anyone used it before???

You are actually wearing intra ocular lenses or you would need heavy plus lenses, As a lens manufacturer you should know all about that.

yes, You should already have the IOL implants post cataract surgery. Otherwise you'd have glasses like George Burns. The next step is to get "real" custom made specs which correct your residual rx post cataract surgery. Residual Rx, meaning any uncorrected distance, any uncorrected intermediate, & any uncorrected near (post cataract surgery.)

All that residual needs to go into your new custom glasses. My lens choice for the residual Rx would be a good progressive lens!
