ioconnell leaves on thursday!

After a long hot summer on Cape Cod, ioconnell leaves Thursday to return home to his beloved Ireland. He leaves with mixed emotions but is happy to learn that his caddying job will be left open and at least one of his American relatives will provide a roof over his head if he should decide to come back next year. Unfortunately his work schedule did not allow a lot of time for weekend travel to meet some of the Optiboarders with whom he has been conversing, however he did manage to meet those who attended the OAA meeting in Atlanta as well as Sean who lives not too far away.He had a great summer and thanks you all for his warm welcome.

It was a pleasure and an honor to meet you. You are indeed a very fine young man and whatever you desire from life will surely be yours, because you will work hard to achieve it.

I count it as a highligh in my summer to have met you.

The very best to you. Looking forward to seeing you back on Optiboard when you return home.

Shurly there are plenty of golf cources in Ireland, or dont the irish tip as well......

I will echo Diane's sentiments. It was a great pleasure to meet you this summer and I hope to have the pleasure of seeing you again in the future.

Here's hoping that "the sun rises up to greet you, the wind is always at your back and you're in heaven a half hour before the devil knows you are dead!"

According to my dad's favorite Irish trivet, that is an Irish prayer. His other favorite was:

"An Irishman is never drunk so long as he can hold onto a blade of grass and not fall off the face of the earth!"
