    Big Smile yet another song

I'm wheels, I am moving wheels
    I am a 1952 studebaker coupe
I'm wheels, I am moving wheels moving wheels
    I am a 1952 starlite coupe...
    En route.....les Souterrains
Des visions du Cody...Sartori a Paris...
Strange spaghetti in this solemn city...
    There's a postcard we're all seen before...
Past wild-haired teens in dark clothing
With hands-full of autographed napkins we
eat apples in vans with sandwiches .

Can anyone guess WHO this is?

There he is wrapped in a ball
Doesn't seem to move at all
    Perhaps he's dead....

By the way, I just found these. These are ACTUAL song Titles!

Do You Love As Good As You Look?
Does Your Chewing Gum Lose Its Flavor On The Bedpost Overnight?
Drop Kick Me, Jesus, Through The Goalposts Of Life
Get Your Biscuits In The Oven And Your Buns In The Bed
Get Your Tongue Outta My Mouth 'Cause I'm Kissing You Goodbye
Her Teeth Were Stained, But Her Heart Was Pure
How Can I Miss You If You Won't Go Away?
How Can You Believe Me When I Say I Love You When You Know I've Been A Liar All My Life?
I Been Roped And Thrown By Jesus In The Holy Ghost Corral
I Changed Her Oil, She Changed My Life
I Don't Know Whether To Kill Myself Or Go Bowling
I Fell In A Pile Of You And Got Love All Over Me
I Flushed You From The Toilets Of My Heart.
I Keep Forgettin' I Forgot About You
    I Wanna Whip Your Cow
I Would Have Wrote You A Letter, But I Couldn't Spell Yuck!
I Wouldn't Take Her To A Dawg Fight, Cause I'm Afraid She'd Win
I'd Rather Have A Bottle In Front Of Me Than A Frontal Lobotomy
I'm Just A Bug On The Windshield Of Life
I'm The Only Hell Mama Ever Raised
I've Been Flushed From The Bathroom Of Your Heart
I've Got The Hungries For Your Love And I'm Waiting In Your Welfare Line
If I Can't Be Number One In Your Life, Then Number Two On You
If Love Were Oil, I'd Be A Quart Low
If My Nose Were Full of Nickels, I'd Blow It All On You
If The Phone Don't Ring, Baby, You'll Know It's Me
If You Don't Leave Me Alone, I'll Go And Find Someone Else Who Will
If You Leave Me, Can I Come Too?
Mama Get The Hammer (There's A Fly On Papa's Head)
May The Bird Of Paradise Fly Up Your Nose
My Every Day Silver Is Plastic
My Head Hurts, My Feet Stink, And I Don't Love Jesus
My John Deere Was Breaking Your Field, While Your Dear John Was Breaking My Heart
My Wife Ran Off With My Best Friend, And I Sure Do Miss Him
Oh, I've Got Hair Oil On My Ears And My Glasses Are Slipping Down, But Baby I Can See Through You
Pardon Me, I've Got Someone To Kill
She Got The Gold Mine And I Got The Shaft
She Got The Ring And I Got The Finger
She Made Toothpicks Out Of The Timber Of My Heart
She's Got Freckles On Her, But She's Pretty
Thank God And Greyhound She's Gone
They May Put Me In Prison, But They Can't Stop My Face From Breakin' Out
    Velcro Arms, Teflon Heart
When You Leave Walk Out Backwards, So I'll Think You're Walking In
You Can't Have Your Kate And Edith Too
You Can't Roller Skate In A Buffalo Herd
You Done Tore Out My Heart And Stomped That Sucker Flat
You Were Only A Splinter As I Slid Down The Bannister Of Life
You're The Reason Our Kids Are So Ugly

    Unbelievable...

Now I have to wonder- did Robert know that song from memory (400 Hogs, by Tom T. Hall), or did he have to look it up??? I thought I was the only person alive who remembered that quirky song!

I have no clue about Optispares or Night Trains lyrics but here are two more for you:
    You call me a fool
You say it's a crazy scheme
    This one's for real
    I already bought the dream
So useless to ask me why
Throw a kiss and say goodbye
    I'll make it this time
I'm ready to cross that fine line
    and
The silicon chip inside her head
    Gets switched to overload,
And nobody's gonna go to school today,
She's going to make them stay at home,
    And daddy doesn't understand it,
He always said she was as good as gold,
And he can see no reason
    Cos there are no reasons
What reason do you need to be shown

Awwww, here I thought I had found a musical soulmate!!! ;)

Okay, what about this one from one of my favorite artists...
    "...everyone said they were crazy,
Brenda you know that you're much to lazy,
and Eddie could never afford to live that kinda life..."

    another from the same-

"...remember how I found you there, alone in your electric chair"

and finally, from another fav of mine-

"...they say that love's a word, a word we've only heard..."

"...I was humming a tune, drinking in sunshine, when love came and hit me in the eye..."

"...do you smile to tempt a lover, xxxx xxxx, or is this your way to hide a broken heart..."

"...your story's sorta touching, but it sounds like a lie..."

    BTW, I AM aware that I'm 34 going on 65, but that's just me I guess... :D

    Just for those under 30,
"...black and blue and broken bones you left me, looks like piggy needed something new..."

Billy Joel's "Scenes From An Italian Restaurant" (Thanks Pete; now the song is stuck in my head.)

"...remember how I found you there, alone in your electric chair"
Billy Joel's "You May Be Right"

The rest, I have no clue about.

Here is one I was listening to today. It is from one of my favorite bands (yes, you've heard of them) and is on one of my top ten favorite albums of all time:

The trainer of insects is crouched on his knees
    Frantically searching for runaway fleas

Well, maybe "someday they will recall, we were not too young at all!" :D

Nice to see somebody remembers at least one Nat King Cole tune.

How about "They call it paradise, I don't know why... call something paradise, then kiss it all goodbye..."?

I'll throw this one out because it is one of the most meditative, beautiful songs I've ever heard (but rarely heard on the radio, though I play it often in my office- in fact, its playing now...).

So, here are some snippets from the song- is this one a favorite of anyone else out there?

He deals the cards to find the answer
    the sacred geometry of chance
the hidden law of a probable outcome
    the numbers lead the dance...

And if I told you that I love you
You'd maybe think there's something wrong
I'm not a man of too many faces
the mask I wear is one...

...those who curse their luck in too many places
are those I fear are lost.

There's another song on the same album that is just fabulous as well...
    If the night turned cold
    and the stars looked down
    and you'd heard yourself
    in the cold, cold ground
    you'd wait for morning,
    in a strangers corpse,
but no one would you see
    and you ask yourself
    and watch for me
    your only friend
    who could it be?
    Its hard to say it
    I hate to say it
    but its probably me...

    If there's one guy
    just one guy
    who'd lay down his life
    for you and I
    its hard to say it...

(now, if someone can only explain this song... naw, I think I get it, that's what I like about it)
    ;)

Anyway, back to this lens chart I'm working on...

    Not Rush...

Solo artist, but used to be in a group. More lyrics from another song on the album...

Some would say I was a lost man in a lost world
you could say I lost my faith in the people on TV
you could say I lost my belief in the politicians
they all seem like game show hosts to me...

(this song received more play time on popular radio than any of the others on the album)...

Can you tell this is one of my favorite albums? Everyone should run out and purchase it!
    ;)

PS- Was it the Rolling Stones who sung the song about Lucifer (can you guess my name? the "who who" song)? That was playing on the way to work and its the first time I ever really really listened to the lyrics.
