    Goodbye OptiBoard

When i joined OptiBoard i did so primarily for the technical discussions amongst professionals.

But most discussions around here turned out to be about politics which bring me personally little knowledge and a lot of negative emotions.

As lately i find myself in more and more political threads, i have decided it is time to walk away.

Thank you all for the great discussions and so long.

    Best regards,
    Nikolay Angelov

It's also a good place to network and keep up with the latest trends and technologies. Maybe the answer is not to walk away, but to step back from the politics.

    Nikolay,
Wes has the best advice I've seen in threads of this nature. Politics, religion, and hair color were things to stay away from in the office was the sage advice given to me by my first generation optician grandfather way back when I started out. Kick back a bit and don't feel you have to attend every argument to which you are invited. I started here when it was new (1995) so I can tell you this site has a lot more to offer than political threads (I include Optically oriented politics too! ) Stick with us, we're winners!

Anyone remember when anyone could say anything without being in some sort of conspiracy against something or other?
Of course this was in a more gentile age when women went to the ladies room instead of having to pee.

I feel you, Nikolay. It's gotten increasingly tedious around here. Your reasoned dialogue will be missed.

Good advise.............. but too late. I enjoyed his clean, clear cut post's and technical presentations.

I have no idea what happened, as I usually do not hang out much around here, but I would assume that Nikolay Angelov has made a decision and will not even bother to look in, at least for now.
