In Rx I wear either an Oakley Twitch with a VR28 Black Iridium Polarized or a Maui Jim Guardrail with Grey Evolution Passport. Plano is either an Oakley Jupiter Sq in matte white with polarized black iridium, Oakley Scalpel custom, or Oakley Flak Jacket (I have about 8 different lenses for it)

How do you like the Scalpel? I've been borderline about getting a pair myself. (they seem to feel a bit cheap) Also, how do you like the VR28 as I have been wavering on getting that color also.

A few.. Oakley Straight Jacket, Ice Iridium Polarized. Maui Jim Longboard with Bronze. Maui Jim Black Coral with Grey.

Gotta say Maui Lenses are incredible, by far the best color. But Oakleys' lenses are not too shabby either.

I actually really like the Scalpel. It has the unobtanium nosepads and earsocks so it is really comfortable. The temples are pretty flexible but I don't think they feel cheap. As far as lenses, the VR28 Black Iridium is pretty much my favorite lens. I where it driving, golfing, at the beach, and even when its cloudy.

    Hello all,
Just joined the board after lurking on and off for a while...
We brought in some vintage cazals recently to have some interesting pieces and I'm wearing a sunglass 607, real old school. Why not wear something slightly more unusual, unique, rare etc. than a maui jim or an oakley? just a thought.

I just made a pair of Tumi suns, love the look and fit, with 1.67 polarized grey with my first black mirror, courtesy of Fezz recommending a lab who does them.

    (best Borat voice...) Verrry Niiiiicce!

I'm not quite as fancy as most of you. I'm only near sighted about .25 in each eye, so if I wear any glasses with rx it's for long periods of computer work.

However, I have a beautiful pair of non rx Betsey Johnson sunglasses with plano lenses in them. Custom gradient tint mix of grey4 mixed with rose and some uv treatment. yea, I'm a slacker, but they're stinking cute!

Thanks for the interesting thread, I am seeing a lot of cool brands that I wish I could bring in to our optical- but I live in a bread and butter town. I am currently wearing the following, in order of preference:

#1 Smith Outlier black frame with polar brown/backside AR and orange mirror. These give me plenty of coverage, sport styling, and are a 6 base! I like the lightweight Eco frame material, and I like that the coverage makes them almost as good as glacier glasses for skiing and climbing. These are my dawn till dusk adventure glasses.

#2 Maui Jim Kanaha black frame with bronze 1.60 lens. These are super light and have great optical clarity. I mostly use these for running around town and when I have black dress clothes on.

#3 Persol 2931 tortise frame with polar grey/backside AR and green mirror. This frame looks and feels incredible. Very versatile, I wear them with a t-shirt and ballcap or with my dress clothes for work.

And for Rx, I have Nuploar on a Cartier.

Go To: Oakley Crosshair with Drivewear, flash front and Backside AR...(Image - old RX, never have updated lenses!)

Bright sun...Seraphin (Ogi) Jefferson Grey "private label" super duper freeform progressive, BS AR, etc.

Brownish: Ogi something or another...Illumina in Coppertone, BS AR, etc.

After typing that in, looks like I have some updating to do!

I don't need Rx (yet) so all of mine are plano

3x Tom Ford Zyl (love my new Bardot), 1 Nike for running, 1 Adidas for running, 1 Ferre (with a huge crystal), 1 Gucci, 1 Theory, 1 Michael Kors, 1 Elle, 1 Police, and my ONLY polarized pair - 1 Smith.

I really dislike wearing polarized lenses. I only wear my Smith's when I am out on the boat. I also don't like a very dark tint and prefer a gradient. I know this makes me the odd ball but I think it is because I am not very light sensitive. I think maybe this is why my polarized sales are not that amazing because it is hard to sell something you personally don't benefit from even when so many people would.

Trying to convince our receptionist to get these bad boys. I think she could probably start fighting crime in them.

Mainly Maui stingrays with grey 1.60 progressives, sometimes oakley jupiter squared or rayban round aviators (or my my antique wayfarers). To walk the dog an old carerra wrap. Then there are the armani for driving or a small converse for the same.
