Crier !!! Celion Dion & IMacs dot mix !!!

Here's a warning to all you imac users :hammer: If you have one of the new " flat-screen iMacs" Dont try to play the new Celion Dion CD "A New Day Has Come" As it will render your system useless....Requiring a visit to the repairers (NO she will not pay either)...
Found this in this artical Here
Which also has some interesting way of beating the copy protection some record labels have started to use on new CD's...
The practice of copying Cd and redistributing via the web is something i cannot condone.....:finger: but i dont mind passing them on... :bbg:

Go WinMx find what you want now.....

Still what do you expect buying a mac...get a proper computer....ZX81 anyone.....

I'm against illegal copying of copyrighted materials, but frankly the music industry is doing itself more harm than good. I don't know what the answer for them is, but surely disabling people's computers is a stupid move on their part. I'm not lawsuit happy, but I do hope someone files a class-action suit against them for this.

PC's are fine if you don't mind virus's

    John,
There are about 53 known virus's which affect the Macintosh......how many would you guess affect the PC's of the world?? At least 2 a week for the past 10 years...For graphics you can't beat the Mac.NASA has been using them exclusively, as have most of the special effects companies, to say nothing of the animators.I have it on reasonably good authority that the effects in Matrix 2 will be coming from MacOS. Macs are great!

What a shame. Putting a Celine Dion CD into your computer breaks the computer...

Surely if every time you put a Celine Dion CD into your PC and the CD got fried, you would have an instant hit!!

Unfortunately Apple were simply not good enough at marketing their superior product when it counted, and IBM stole the march on them. I don't use MACS, but I never hear bad things about them and their following is very loyal.

However consider this- if the MAC had the same user base as Windows and 'the' PC, with it's MUCH larger software and hardware library then I'm sure there would be thousands of MAC viruses (Viri?) and the whole thing would be full of bugs. Don't underestimate how big a job designing Windows to run on an infinate number of PC configurations must be.

Where things went wrong is when IBM licenced 3rd party manufacture of the its PC. If PCs had as few hardware manufacturers as the MAC then surely things would be more stable?
