I've had absolutely no problems with IE 6 since I got my new computer foru weeks ago. What OS are you running? I'm running Windows XP and everything seems solid as a rock.

No problem with windows ME w/IE6.Been running it for about 6mos or so. Does windows give you the kind of error in the message in the little box as to why it is closing explorer?

I'm having trouble with the new Media Player. It crashes. I haven't be able to play a sound file yet. Some things run okay.

Angry As much As It Pains Me To Say This....

.....because as many of you know, I have a son with Microsoft, I've had non-stop problems ever since XP was released and all the upgrades to complement it started happening on IE and MSN. As we speak, I have a ton of work I need to conduct online and can't get my mailboxes and archived mail to open. I'm told it's a server thing and will be fixed shortly. The one with explorer being shut down may be the only one I haven't got recently. I'm starting to make friends with the online tech support folks!
I have ME on all my computers. My son assures me that XP is a much more stable platform but we keep waiting to get it because I think we want to upgrade to Pentium Four computers first. This is probably a cheap move on my part since we can buy the software at cost through him (and let me tell you, their markups make ours seem puny!). But I really think it's bugs still to be worked out in the various online programs so I'm waiting!:bbg:

One of these days 'new and improved' will really be 'new and improved'. Sometimes I like old and lousy. :hammer:

i will stick with 5.5 'till i can afford XP.

I wish I would have left well enough alone. I'm looking at a new Dell Computer. No telling what I'm getting into.

well Don at least you will have fun trying to make it work !!!!!!.
The luxury of buying a ready made pc.
I just stick to buying a box of bits and chucking them in a case and hope it works.
At least I have only one person to blame if it don't.

I guess we'll all just have to wait around for the ME and XP Second Editions to come out. :bbg:

I've got several old slapped together computers in my storage unit. I bought a package deal last time and decided it's the only way to go. I'll up grade once or twice then off to buy another.
