In the second pic, Steve, would that be the backstroke or the breaststroke? :)

I think it's a tailstroke. ;)

Finally got out to play with my new 35mm camera (JRS are you proud of me). I now know what the filters are that you talked about. He sold me one to keep my lens from being scratched.
This is the bluff at the Citie of Henricus overlooking the convergence of the Chickahominy and James Rivers. http://www.henricus.org/frame.html
I also included a shot of the path that leads down the bluff and along the river. It was a great walk.

what size thumbnails will the system allow?

The OB makes the pics thumbnails. The pics I posted were about 46-50KB in size. There is a max allowable, but I am not sure what it is.

Taken a few months ago with Olympus C-8080 that Santa put under the tree.
I put this on the wrong thread originally...oppps...
Taken with my ultra compact Sony DSC-W1
P.S. That is Grappa in the glass :D
Nice job Cindy. You having fun with the 35mm? Pretty soon you'll have about 10 grand tied up in camera gear. When I used to go out on long shoots, I looked like a walking camera store.

Thanks, JRS! I am still learning the buttons, lenses and whistles. I took some pics at my friend's wedding that came out a bit blurry. I didn't think they were fast enough for the fast setting. Hey, you live and learn. Thank God she had a profesisonal and didn't count on only me! :)Originally Posted by JRS

And, Snitgirl, way cool pics. I especially love the building through the glass. Cool!

Some more pics from my trip to Williamsburg and one of my friend's son, Trevor, on his 3rd birthday. I cannot ever recall being this surprised at a gift, can you?

Here are some recent pics taken on my trip to the Outer Banks of NC. These were all taken in Manteo on Roanoke Island. It is a neat little area and I encourage you to check it out when you are in the Outer Banks.

Just got back from the Northeast Kingdom in Vermont. Mikey and I may be the only 2 optiboarders able to name the gap in two of the photos. Picture of Mrs Harry in front of our B&B in Danville and me atop Burke Mtn, in a cloud as usual.

PS
Is the first picture from the parking lot at the upper lodge?
If so the field once had a t-bar. I started at age five right there!!!!
Last Monday, October 3rd. I cycled up to Mt. Ashland and took these pictures. There was the first of the seasons snow above 6500 feet. when I got home I started overhauling the old X-country ski's. Won't be long now. The far mountain in the first photo is Mt. Shasta.
Taken 10/22/05
Since the Lions Gate Bridge was backed up with major traffic, I decided to take a detour through Stanley Park. WOW!!!! It was quite amazing to see all the beautiful colours on the trees. <--nothing like that here in San Diego!! Pulling over, parking the car and getting in tourist mode was a must!!
What a great time of year for Vancouver!

Sue and I spent an afternoon in Stanley Park. What a great asset for Vancouver. Other than the cruise up and down the inland passage to Alaska, that afternoon was the highlight of the trip. I'm envious!
