    More movie reviews...

    Just continuing recommendations on movies...

Finally watched Pearl Harbor... not enough action sequences and too much romantic stuff ruined some good camera work and the historical content of the movie! Also, combining Doolittle's raid on Tokyo with Pearl Harbor was a nifty idea, but seemed a bit fabricated they way they pulled it off.

If you have never seen The Thomas Crown Affair (Pierce Brosman, Rene Russo), it has a great plot (and proves that a mature woman can have a pretty decent bod, too! :) ).

The kids finally got me to watch Shrek on our new DVD player... Eddie Murphy and John Lithgow make the movie, and I think I got more enjoyment from it than the kids!

Thumbs up Thumbs up for "The Crew"

    Hello Pete,

I watched "The Crew" last night. It was much better than I thought it would be and would recommend it. It definitely showed what you and I will be like when we get older and retire ;) It's a fun movie with great acting as well as some great actors. Give it a shot for a chuckle.

    Toodles,

    Darris C.

Rent "Saving Grace". A great show for those of us who have fleeting memories (or flashbacks) of the late '60's and early '70's.

Hmmm, any flashbacks I would have of the late '60s would probably involve breastfeeding or diapers... and I don't think I want to go there!
    ;)

Just had to get a dig in as someone who was born in '68... I can't get too smug though, because I found a couple gray hairs in the mirror the other morning!

Shrek is the best computer generated comedy I have seen. The best computer generated movie is Final Fantasy.

Shrek was great, but I think Pixar one-upped them with Monsters, Inc.

Has anyone seen Lord of the Rings yet? This is a must-see for any fans of this trilogy and is one of the best movie adaptations from a book that I've ever seen. They did a remarkable job of duplicating the look and feel of Tolkien's Middle Earth! I can't wait to see the second and third movies in this series.

So you're the guy with the beeps and flashing screen. I thought it was one of Harry Potter's spells.

    Thumbs up Shrek

Do any of you have Shrek on DVD? It has a voice over where you can put your voice in different scenes. Pretty cool.

Recently purchased Tombstone on DVD... if you like Westerns, this one is pretty good (it should be anyway, it has Sam Elliot and a cameo by Charlton Heston). I would never have guessed that Val Kilmer would appear in a Western, but he was the best Doc Holiday I've ever seen. ("If you do, you're a daisy!" What a line.)

Really? I hate to say it but I was very disappointed in 'The Phantom Menace'. I hope they do much better with the next one.

    Steve,
Even though i hate to admit it .........i was too. The only parts i really enjoyed were the pod race and the showdown with obi-wan and darth maul.. From what i understand the next movie is supposed to be "Darker". Have you seen any of the movie trailers yet?

    Your right.May it is.
I've seen three trailers so far . It looks to be better than "Phantom Menace" .But it also looks like part of it is going to be some sort of love story.
