    Charter Oak and DANTES

    For students wishing to complete academic requirements through the DANTES examination programs, The Learning Curve has created several non-credit, review courses to help prepare for specific examinations. The DANTES examinations allow you to study on your on time and take tests at your convenience. For a more complete explanation of the tests and a list of administering institutions near you, contact The Learning Curve, Fax (865) 908-7058 or e-mail OpticalEd@AOL.COM. With one exception, the cost for all review courses is $45.00. Text books may be obtained on-line or through your local bookstore.

    Art of the Western World, 3 credits - Basic Level, Liberal Arts
    Cost: Tape Rental $55.00, Text/Guide $45.00

    Astronomy, 3 credits - Basic Level, Liberal Arts

    Criminal Justice, 3 credits - Basic Level, Liberal Arts

    Drug and Alcohol Abuse, 3 credits - Upper Division, Liberal Arts

    Environment and Humanity, 3 credits - Upper Division, Liberal Arts

    Fundamentals of Counseling, 3 credits - Upper Division, Liberal Arts

    Here's to Your Health, 3 credits - Basic Level

    Human/Cultural Geography, 3 credits - Basic Level, Liberal Arts

    Introduction to Business, 3 credits - Basic Level

    Lifespan Development Psychology, 3 credits - Advanced Lower Division, Liberal Arts

    Money and Banking, 3 credits - Upper Division, Liberal Arts

    Organizational Behavior, 3 credits - Upper Division

    Physical Geology, 3 credits - Basic Level, Liberal Arts

    IMPORTANT NOTE:
    The following Opticianry Courses and examinations have been evaluated by Charter Oak State College and may be applied towards the degree requirements.

    American Board of Opticianry (ABO) Principles of Refraction Course, 4 credits

    National Opticianry Competency Examination (ABO), 12 credits

    Contact Lens Registry Examination (NCLE), 8 credits
