Well, as a follow- up from about a month ago pertaining to my taking my Board Exam: Just recieved THE letter in the mail today from the VA Dept. of Occupation and Regulation CONGRATULATING me on successfully PASSING my practical exam! Needless to say, I'm thrilled! So I passed my ABO on my first try three years ago, and now my practical portion of the exam, too, on the first try. I GUESS that's something to be proud of. I hear of so many that have to take theirs over again, sometimes as many as THREE tries before passing. I was expecting full well to recieve a letter letting me know when the next exam date would be and how to prepare, etc.,etc. I really thought I bombed! Judy, you were SO sure I did fine- and I did. Even though you said it as a kind formality to make me feel better- thanks anyway. I passed and that's all that matters! Oh- one more thing, where do I go from here? The board is reviewing my paperwork currently for my licensure. Soooo, what do I do NOW? Just how valuable IS a licensed optician?
