    Eyefinity (virus) problems ?

Has anyone had any "worm" virus problems in relation to Eyefinity? We have a free standing unit (not networked w/ our server) that we use only for processing insurance claims. From what the person submitting the claims is telling me, there are no viruses in the morning, and as soon as she logs onto Eyefinity, Windows starts "freaking out" and a scan shows the virus is back. I don't know a thing about viruses, or really computers for that matter, but after talking to 2 other doctors' offices, the same thing happened to them. I'm not blaming Eyefinity for anything, nor trying to cast them in a negative light, but how secure is the site? Has anyone else had similar problems with this site, or any others ? (We don't use any others, so maybe it's happening I many more than I know.)

Also, with all the new insurance regs that say we have to use electronic instead of paper, isn't the paper actually more secure ?

I don't know that much about security software but I do know that certain settings concerning heuristics can make your computer "think" it has a virus when it doesn't.

I get some false positive with Norton Internet Security. For instance often if if I type this into a form:

    .htaccess

Norton will give me a warning about a security breach attempt.

What AV software are you running?

What software are you running. I never get any messages like that and I am running Network Associates/McAfee.

Maybe I don't have the right settings.

Have you called their customer support to see if they have a solution?

What version of windows are you running on the p.c. with the problem??? And what happens when the computer "freaks out" i.e. error message (Windows............. blue screen with error code? Or within the window?) Buy the looks of this, the computer may not be connected to your "Network" but it looks like it has dial up access. Also what "scan " program are you using when you get the message that the "virus is back"?? Need more info................. Also have any floppy's been used from the network...........

I use Eyefinity for filing claims and have had no such problems. We use Norton anti-virus and we pay to have it update automatically, so its very current. It hasn't tried to warn us of any type invasion and on full scans, no viruses are detected. I can't imagine if they were sending out a virus that it wouldn't be for everyone of their clients, not just some.
