Reputation and Up/Downvoting posts

I don't contribute to this forum much but I frequently read it because of some of the excellent information provided by other users. There are some people on here like Barry S., Robert M. and obviously Darrel M. who seem to only post solid gold information. It would be a cool function to be able to up/down vote a post and increase or decrease a users reputation. This would make it easy for someone to quickly identify the users that deliver consistently in depth, informative, and helpful posts.

I imagine it would be difficult to implement but sometime I read a post and want to be able to support it without just typing up a reply that says "you are amazing".

You can add "reputation points" to a user, its that little star on the lower left of whatever post you want to give accolades to.

Sadly lacking is a thumbs down button....I'm sure Fezz would love to use it some days!

I would love to see it too. We had it at one time, but it was terribly abused.

I used to allow 'negative' feedback, but as Jacqui said this was abused and caused a lot more problems than it was worth.
