Adaptation issues - from Essilor 1.74 to Hoya 1.70, same frame, same prescription

Hi All,
I've gotten new glasses a couple of days ago. Same prescription, same frame. After doing my research on the advantages of Hoya 1.74 36 Abbe value and superior optis over other high index lenses, I selected them with a Super Hi Vision AR coating. My prescription is OD -10.00 cyl -2.50 axis 41 OS -7.25 cyl -2.75 axis 145.
After two days of wearing the new glasses, I'm still having adaptation issues, especially when reading. The old Essilor 1.74 lenses seem to have a better peripheral vision when looking at a computer screen, but poorer for distance.
The glasses were bought at two separate optical shops, where measurements were taken separately.
What may be causing the adaption issue? Should I suspect a faulty lens placement within the frame? Give it more time?
I'd been wearing the Essilor lenses for the past 3.5 years.
