Lenny is a friend of mine, and he's no joke. He, like me is probably tired of being told one thing, and seeing another. I remember when Varilux came to my office in the 90's saying how they never sell to chains, and then Cooper said their contacts would never be in a chain...

We hear it from companies all the time, so understand where we are coming from if we don't accept everything told to us as gospel truth.

Stan Tabor has been in sales a long time and generally he has found that it does not pay to ridicule prospective customers and calling them a joke. Stan's boss would fire him if he did that.

Blue Jumper on-line opticals buy cheaper than the ECP's .................................

I'm not necessarily saying that is you, but look close and hard at the reasons why a manufacturer wouldn't want to deal with a brick and mortar.
That is also why on-line opticals buy cheaper than the ECP's who forced wholesalers into buying cheaper and charging more for their frames.
This all started in the 1980's when the market got flooded with more frames and competition got fierce. Before that time there was an orderly system which got spoiled by greed on both sides.

YEA! I could not come to the conclusion when I saw the sign in Turkey "GENUINE FAKE WATCHES".
maybe you can explain this to me from high-end independent eyewear manufacturers that you represent?

I assumed that any company spending $300k+ on a portion of their legal fees was a larger corporation. I'm not concerned with the size of a company, but rather if they stay true to their message.

Don't worry about Stan. He has a day time job and he's doin alright.

Stan is interested in the ROI on the $300 large that was spent on lawyers. Were those US dollars or Hong Kong dollars? Stan also seeks reimbursement to cover the replacement cost of his BS detector. It exploded when Stan scanned in this thread.

Wow! My head is spinning! I feel like I just stepped off the train, onto a rain slicked platform on a foggy night! Intrigue...mystery...drama...and I'm the only foreigner!

Carry on...I'm running to the kitchen for some popcorn while this plays out!

Stan ascertains on-lines buy cheaper than ECPs because they order in volumes big enough to buy direct from the factory and cut out the wholesaler. Onlines also spend next to $0 on design, although Stan doubts that most wholesale frame lines spend much on design.

"Orderly system"?? Stan looked this up in his Al Haig thesaurus and these are code words for price fixing.

Someone resurrected a two year old thread which others proceeded to use to bash other members. Not very nice. Thread closed.
