    Confused Frame Facts (Fax?) Book

Where can I find a frame fax book? A friend of mine told me that he buys frames cheaply, but marks them up according to the frame fax. Maybe having the frame fax will help my cost of goods, especially with VSP.

Spend a mere $5.00 a month and join the "Pro's Forum". It's the best 5 bucks a month you'll spend.:)

Click "Search" from the green bar- type your question (example "Costs of goods") and learn what school didn't teach you!

You don't really need Frame Facts. Their prices are simply "list price" which your frame vendors will tell you anyway and then apply your "discount". It really is a good idea to join the pro-forum. See you there.

It cost around $250/year, but this allows you internet access to the database. You get a very thick print catalog, and then quarterly updates. The search function is pretty good...you can look by frame line, name, type, manuf, etc. Actually, most of our use has been looking up older frames, so you could cancel after one year.

I believe VSP only allows you a 20% discount on the frames. That's what I heard so this may not work out to your advantage. Frame facts is definately a nice tool to have, if the expense is too much their are creative ways to lower your costs and still use their services. The suggestions on joining the pro's forum is probably the best you'll get, the pro's are not going to teach you how to be an optometrists or an optician, they will teach you how to run a lean and mean ship. I'll tell you this some of the suggestion from the pro's forum have been implemented in our office and we're up an average of 15% over last year this year so far. When's the last time you've seen double digit growth in your practice and I'm not talkign about the startup phase either?

Hi All, I am also seeking a FRAME FACTS or FRAMES DATA price book from the mid 1990's (any year and any quarter). I am willing to pay $150 for it. Please send email toDrRobert@eyeworksgroup.com if you can help. Thank you!

Dude, you really need to work you sense of humor around here if you intend to stick around. I was just kidding. I figured you'd find it no problem once you poked around the site a little, what's why I didn't give you a serious reply. Give me a little credit. I'm not that much of SoB.
