    The RESULTS are in...

    I am now an Advanced Certified Optician... YAY! Interestingly enough, the only thing I didn't get above standard in was in Business Management, and that's what I have a B.S. in. Go figure. So much for formal education. Good luck to everyone else...

    I do plan on doing that Barry. I liked your article in 20/20 btw, you and Darryl are the few and the proud who aren't pushing product in your articles. Keep up the good work.

    Materials

    I purchased the NAO's Advanced Optician's Tutorial, read through it once, took the tests in it, and that was that. I have DiSanto's TOPS and Brooks and Borish's Systerm for Ophthalmic Dispensing. Lots of studyguides from various places, National Vision, OTI, the NAO, the military, etc... The Contact Lens Manual came in handy too, as did "the Ophthalmic Assistant".
    It's a very comprehensive test, not for the faint of heart. Good luck.
