But I want to say, if you watch this election, it was not liberals versus conservatives. Red States became Blue. Conservatives voted Democrat. This is a President that most wanted and most loved.

Now, lets just hope this great run from out of no where, to beating a Clinton and McCain, will translate into a great President. He has a lot of challenges. All I hope for is that people give him a chance and do not just look for him to fall.

Also, no one. Absolutely no one can take anything away from John McCain. He has had a fantastic career and has done more for his people than most people ever have. He was a better person than most politicians, and even though he lost, I believe that by leaving with morals, he is leaving on top.

because our economy relies so much on yours, and we are affected by the wars in the world.

Really great to see that he has won. He has an enormous uphill climb, but I think the world needed this change.
To me he is in the same iconice league as someone like JFK, he has brought a certain charisma back to the White House which it has been sorely missing for 8 years.

I would love to know how the transitions to office take place.

You know, things like:
* When do you start picking cabinet members?
* Who pulls you aside and gives you the tour of the White House and introduces you to everybody?
* What is the *protocol* for White House staff members-what can they do, say, react around the new president?
* When does the Secret Service really step things up?
* When does the new President learn about all of the *secrets* that presidents do/should know?
* Who pulls the main man aside and educates him on standard operating procedures for attacks on his life, national security, bunkers, hideouts, etc?
* When does the first family start stocking the pantry?
* Who does the shopping for them?
* Does the President carry any cash?
* When does the new first family meet with the White House on-staff physicians?
* Where do the kids get to roam?
* Who *really* is going to take care of the new puppy?
* Etc, etc, etc.....................

I have always wondered this stuff! Is there a resource or maybe a book, that fills us in on all of the wacky details?

What's going to happen? Is the Obama administration going to give tax breaks to oil companies, as they set profit records? Bush did that. Is he going to lower the taxes on people who have lots of money already? Bush did that. Is he going to make a wealthier, healthier, stronger middle class? I hope and believe he will.
