    Bing Crosby that is........October 1940! Yikes! I do, however, know who Vera Lynn was and can remember hearing songs by her. She was a Brit and her songs wer popular during WWll and one was featured (I think) in Dr Stangelove or how I learned to stop worrying and Love the Bomb. It was Till we meet again, or something like that.

    I recall "till we meet again; don't know where; don't know when . . ." In addition to Vera Lynn the song was also often sung by Kate Smith on her TV show at 4PM.

    Well Dick, I remember listening to Kate Smith on the RADIO! We didn't get a TV until 1952!.....but I enjoyed seeing The Battle Hymn of the Republic as your song!
