Reaching Out to Say Hello
I've been gone so long, I'm sure many members don't even know who I am. For those who remember me...hello old friends :cheers: I'm finally back. Although very much in a semi-retired state (read much more retired than semi) ;) As many of you may remember, my beloved husband was struck very ill several years ago. He developed septic shock syndrome as a result of salmonella poisoning. Our lives dramatically changed due to the damage caused to his body. We barely had a grip on his health when he was diagnosed with colon cancer which later spread. I'm pleased to share with you that he is in what appears to be a remission that will extend to a cure. My evil twin, Laurie Pierce, can verify that indeed he looks and acts quite robust! Two years ago we left the rat race of LA and NYC and live in peaceful bliss in Saint Augustine, Florida. This past Friday, we had an amazing check-up for Jim and now I no longer feel like I must be holed up in my little world that's all about keeping him well and myself sane. I hope you'll welcome me back and I can again be of value to these boards while stimulating my own brain. Big hugs to all. :)
