Question So, what do you think?

The new OptiBoard is entirely different from any of the message boards in the past. Take a look around and check out all of the new features then come back here and take part in the poll.

    Early Riser? Uh huh ...

    Morning Harry,

Early riser ... sure, that's me. Actually, that would be more like late to bed late to rise. It is 11:00 AM and I am just waking up. I am only half way through my first cup of coffee so I don't actually qualify as awake yet. Today is the second of my two days off in a row so it is unofficially my Sunday.

Now that everyone is here I am still looking around. It is funny but with the way the new Board Displays thread information I relized that I missed a bunch of stuff on the old board. I have been having fun catching up on topics all the way back to January 2000.

Steve did a great job moving the old OptiBoard over!

    Terrific Job

This new board is terrific, although I have no idea what most of the little buttons are for, being an old, non-computer literate person. It's especially nice being able to see Optiboarders' pictures. You all look so nice. I sure am glad my Webtv isn't picture-posting-capable, though. I'd hate for anybody to see what I looked like. It's a rough life down here in this dusty, Georgia trailer park.

    Bob,

The trick is to do what I did. Take a picture a couple of years old taken during the summer to achieve a healthy glow. Actually, the picture was taken during my carefree days. You have to add a few grey hairs (Not too many though, I'm not that old) and lose the tan.

Check out the Help with OptiBoard Forums to see how to make things go. If in doubt press the buttons and see what they do.

    :D
It is good to see you drop in on OptiBoard. Hopefully you will stay awhile. It will give you something to do when you aren't on the front porch in your rocking chair. You can't spend all your free time with the hounds now.

I think it is definately going to take some getting used to. I do love to learn new things, but my wife was close to killing me for the time I used to spend on here. Now I have to learn all of the new features. Oh no, have to go, wife's coming.......................I'll give her your name Steve. I'm in big trouble. Mullo

    Continuing Ed!

    Dear Mullo!

You've got 2 choices....Bring your computer to work...or tell the little woman you're working on some continuing education!:bbg: Maybe Steve should contact OAA and put that together!

Blue Jumper It looks good but how do you make it go?

I see a few of you think the new OptiBoard looks good but you aren't sure how to make it go. You can learn about the new format in a couple of different locations.

The F.A.Q. page lists some general Bulletin board frequently asked questions.

OptiBoard Site Info contains forums relating to using the board.

Use Feedback, Comments and Help For feedback, comments and questions regarding the OptiBoard Discussion Forums.

The Test Forum is where you can go to play around and get used to all the new features. Threads in this forum will be removed periodically.

Q & A is where you can find more in depth help on using the new OptiBoard. These are all the questions we ran into while getting aquainted with the new board and the answers to them. You will also find a thread on all of the different Style Set Samples here and directions on how to change them.

Have fun learning how to use OptiBoard !

Big Smile She knows me too well......

Hi Harry, I've tried them all. Nothing works. Even my golf game is suffering now. I used to be a 10 handicap!!! Just shot 93 the other day on Northview Golf Course, the course they played the Air Canada Championship on last year. If I'm ever in your area, we'll have to play a round or two. If I'm allowed.....Mullo

    Anytime!

    Mullo,
Anytime! Please note: it is sometimes safer to refer to your wife as.."She who must be obeyed" after all, who lets you golf on weekends??:bbg:

When you said nothing works- To what were you referring? Maybe we can help.

Iwear the pants in my household!!!

Hey, you gotta take control, Mullo... show her who's boss! I'm the king of my castle- at least when the Queen Bee is out shopping...

Any time my wife starts getting on my case, I just say "woman..."

By the time I wake up with a perfect imprint of our iron skillet on my forehead, I've long forgotten what I was putting my foot down about anyway! Its a perfect system that keeps us in matrimonial bliss (but I sure go through the Tylenol).

    Back on the board

The new board looks great Steve. I have been offline for about 3 weeks. Got married, moved to Virginia and well, you know all honeymoomers and newlyweds are always busy swinging from the chandelier! I wondered why the testboard was gone. Anywho, I give it 2 thumbs up.

My wife is actually a great woman, awesome mother and too good for me!!! She just hates computers with a passion. I knew she was a keeper from the first time we shared a bed. She didn't complain about having to share the bed with me and my Bullmastiff (180 lbs of dog). She never complained for the 3 months I allowed it. Oh ya, and she also puts up with me!!!!!! If she knew what I was typing I'd really be in for it.....Mullo :shiner:

My wife hated computers too - until I bought her a new one for Christmas. Now she's on the computer almost as much as I am!

Great job Steve, I really enjoy the new board. It's nice to come home after a challenging day at work and read the posts, knowing there are many peers who share the same thoughts or have a completely different point of view. Rich R
