Harry: Beware low cost (or even high cost ) kid's frames. Kids tear up frames and need strength above all. Also note that patients and you get tired of frames that need replacement 5 times a year even if it's "guaranteed."

Of course you make more money if they are $50.00 for a bag of 100. But crap is crap.

Chip I definately understand that the quality of the frame is usually suspect on cheap frames, but I have medical assistance patients that go to the very few places in the area and recieve the same low quality frames and lenses and then they come back with horrible looking lenses in them or they are made wrong or they get treated like crap. Ultimately our doctor wants to help and in som occasions he will offer to remake the glasses for free. THIS KILLS ME. It is his business but if I had a line I could offer them than this would greatly reduce the amount of doctors remakes I would be making when they did not purchase the glasses from us in the first place. The whole situation is a long one I just started working here and I am here to get the optical back into shape.

thank you rodusa but these are not kids frames. I don't want to fit a child in a small adult frame. I am looking for KIDS frames. Thank you for the link though.

    You might try. . .

Silver Dollar has a line called Kids Central. We occassionally buy their closeouts at very reasonable prices. Good luck!

I am a rep for CSI eyewear www.2020frames.com and they do have at least 10 kids frames with sizes like 40-16-125. Call 1-866-274-3937 and ask for Cheryl....tell her Mike sent you. She will tell you more. Oh, and ask about the warranty......you won't believe it!!

We use Star and Smart frames from our Clariti rep. $5 each and they work great. The previous guy used Smilen frames.. they were ok, but looked marginal.

    Harry,

Give us a call @ Encore Vision. We have a kids frame called the Puppy, 5 sizes 34-42 eye, 6 colors and all frames come with cable and skull temples. Look it up in the Frames Data. We sell ALOT of this frame exactly for the situation you are describing. Also we have 7 flexible titanium frames in our Flexy Eyewear collection under the eyesize of 48mm. When you hear the pricing and review the quality, you will know why our customers are long term.

Give Teri a call you won't regret it.

    Best Deals

The best deals on kids frames are at http://www.ce-tru.com/ their web sight is not the greatest but these guys are a volume manufacturer and importer. Buy 100 pieces at (wholesale prices removed> a piece with great colors, design and flex hindges. You can mix and match if you get 100 pieces. There are no guarantees, but at this price you don't need them as postage both ways cost more than the frame. Dozens of styles for 4-6 year olds in modern shapes, not just oblong like most places. The frame called Curly is a great toddler frame in about 38 eye size with cables temples and 3 colors. There are two brands you want, Ce-Tru and Limitted Edition. They don't have catalogs to cut down on overhead and sell them cheaper. I see frames like this all the time for <prices removed> and laugh...all the way to the bank. I know quality when I see it and I've seen better...but I have never seen a better bang for your buck.
    Cheers,

    MobileOptic,

Encore Vision carries a line called the Americana Collection that (in my opinion) is better built than the product you are describing and costs less. No minimum order quantity and has a warranty. Take a look at the website: www.encore-vision.com When you are ready laugh a little harder to the bank give us a call. Plus you will be supporting a fellow Northwest business. We are located in Spokane, WA. If you are at Vision Expo West, come by and see us at booth 21101. Thanks

    Jim

Just a reminnder, it's against the posting guidelines to post wholesale prices on OptiBoard.

LBI / Coast frames work great for us as well. I am quite amazed how they hold up! We use this line for our Medical patients. We rarely have a breakage on these.

P.S. Kealges2: Please read Steve's post above yours re: posting prices.

Since some people continue to violate the guideline by posting wholesale prices, this thread is closed.
