I heard a recording of this on the radio. She would have been banned from optiboard.

I think that the next time The Drudge report has a negative artical about a republican or a positive artical about a democrat will be the first time for either. Heinz Kerry could have said "oops, I drop a quarter" and the drudge report would have spun it into a negative. Let's just agree to assume you post a negative drudge report about a democrat every day, but don't.PS. Why are conservatives so afraid of strong women. Envious of something?
Hold on! Some of those "butchie women" you posted the names of are considered conservative. I admit to being envious of her bank account but not much else...Originally Posted by Spexvet

Perhaps we have forgotten Barbara Bush (Mrs. G. H. W.) referring to Geraldine Ferraro (Vice-Presidential candidate) as a "b**ch during that particular campaign. Two wrongs don't make a right, so move on.
mrba,
From the title of your thread, you've acknowledged that Kerry will win the election.
YOU'VE SEEN THE LIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah....classy alright. Just about as "classy" as Cheny throwing a f-bomb on the senate floor.

Well Drudge is covered then because Heinz-Kerry Has been both.I think that the next time The Drudge report has a negative artical about a republican or a positive artical about a democrat will be the first time for either.
Not while in session, and not at reporters.Yeah....classy alright. Just about as "classy" as Cheny throwing a f-bomb on the senate floor.
So, telling a Senator to **** off is "classier" than telling a reporter to.Originally Posted by mrba

Can we all find the spelling error? Where did I indicate Cheney was better? When did I imply that no one else has done as Teresa Heinz? What I am saying is "everybody is doing it" should not be the standard we hold our first lady to.Originally Posted by shanbaum

And where is the thread you started about our 'classy' VP and his vulgar response telling a Senator to 'f' himself? Unless I missed it you seem to be holding Mrs. Kerry to a much stricter standard of conduct. Why is that?Originally Posted by mrba
Careful there, your double-standards are showing. ;)

Walt, if you don't like the way this board is run, then why do you keep coming back?
Besides pointing out someone else's hypocrisy and double-standards is well within our rights. When a person posts on this forum, they are accepting the possibility that someone will call them to account for their words.

Oh but there is a distinction. I don't think Cheney knew he was going to be reported on... Never mind, I wouldn't be surprised if HK didn't know it either.Originally Posted by Steve Machol
If you had read my last post, I advocated for holding people to a higher level of conduct, opposed to the other OB members who argued "it's ok because everyone else is doing it". So lets have a thread everytime someone else drops the f word to prove that mrba was wrong to hold HK to account?
I concur. There are those here that don't like to be called on their double standard. I suppose then it is only a matter of time.Originally Posted by walt

Obviously you missed the point. You made a point of starting a thread about Mrs. Kerry's use of the phrase 'shove it', yet you did not show similar concern or start a thread when Cheney used a vulgarity against a US Senator. You are clearly guilty of applying a double-standard.Originally Posted by mrba

Obviously I get it. Not covering all of the F bases doesn't make me guilty of a double standard. And furthurmore it is better to hold one to a standard, and miss another, than none at all.
Really? This still looks like you are applying a double-standard to me.
From this thread:

You clearly had no issue with the Vice President of the United States telling a US Senator to 'go f*** yourself', but nonetheless you felt compelled to start this thread about Mrs. Cheney telling a reporter to 'shove it'.Originally Posted by mrba

I stand by it. The reporters were asking HK about the speech she just gave, and she denied saying what she had just said. Then she made the comment.Originally Posted by Steve Machol

I also refer you to my last comment:

This thread is ridiculous!
Mrba.... get over it. You were outed, you showed a double standard. When you start talking out of both sides of your mouth, your eventually going to get busted.
Good grief!
