Can someone help me understand when I would want to fit a patient in a short corridor PAL? The training I got was that they were more intended for frames with short B values. That said, some of the other opticians in my new office have fit patients at some point prior with short corridor in frames with average or deeper B measurements. If I'm helping that patient and they're not complaining, I'm not going to break my back trying to switch them around, but what kind of rationale is there for something like that? Just speed them to the reading? Or is there some other hidden benefit I'm not getting?
