Can single vision lens be tested on the edges for blur?
I have a client that said he could only see through the middle of the lens and that the edges were blurry.
We replaced the lenses and all was good, now he has another pair same problem????

You need to provide a lot more info to troubleshoot.
Power and change from last rx
Material
Frame size
POW (Position of wear): Panto wrap vertex?
Was the previous pair better? What changed?
Off axis vision we expect to not be as good so to me the key is what's changed.
Quality of lenses batch to batch can vary.
Poly needs to be made under precise pressure and cure rates (or lack of) of others can produce issues with blanks we cannot see.
Or so I've read here.
And the problem is often between the ears of the wearer;)
If everything is exact as the old pair, frequently I will tell the pt that this is like buying a new pair of shoes that is the exact same brand and style as my comfortable old pair......but is feels and looks different. Of course it is new it is different but I need to wear them and break them in so that they feel better. Same with lenses, got to wear them and give your mind time to adjust to the "new" of the lenses.
