Does anyone know of any app that we can download to what lenses we can use, comparatively?

The app is on your standard calculator;
eye size + bridge - PD + ED + 1 = minimum blank size.
example;
Frame; 50/20 with ED 53
PD 65
50 + 20 = 70 - 65 = 5 + 53 = 58 + 1 = 59 minimum blank size.
Much appreciated!! I was looking moreso, for a tool for my co-worker...it's okay, thanks so much!
If he can't do it on paper you can plug it in here.

You are awesome, thanks so much!!
Minimum blank sizes are considered to be theoretical for two reasons:
Two to three millimeters should always be added the the MBS to allow for imperfections such as chips or bubbles which may exist along the periphery of an uncut lens.
Lens sizes are available from the manufacturers only in certain predetermined sizes, the diameters of which usually range from 60mm - 80 mm in 5-6 mm increments.
At issue for our lab are incorrect ED measurements submitted by ECPs which greatly factor into not only MBS but ideal thickness for plus Rxs.
This is a simple explanation of the MBS formula http://visionpreview.com/files/2713/...h_your_Lab.pdf

The app is not mine, but i use it frequently.

You can switch language to English in option named "язык".
And i'm always keeping in mind that any app may not give 100% accurate answer but approximate.
p.s. Hope it will be avaliable in your country.
