We are evaluating multiple autoedgers and are looking at Briot Silver & Briot Silver Plus - I see other posts that complain of malfunctioning of a Briot Accura and Alta - so I would appreciate your reviews of Briot Silver & Briot Silver Plus.

Are you kidding; after reading the posts why would you even consider them? Go get a Nidek and it will do a great job for years.
:)

Those are actually really popular machines that have a great reputation. Not sure where the trouble was
I used a Briot Acura B&W for a few years. While I was able to use it successfully, cutting Trivex and the J7 cable were two big problems. I started a thread about the J7 cable a couple months ago, and this is my way of bumping it because I believe you work for Briot. Cutting Trivex, and polycarbonate to a lesser extent, with this machine will not work well if the feeler arms are still made the way they were on older Acura models -- the arms hinge in the throat of the cutting chamber and get stuck when debris gets in the gearing.
Definitely depends on the materials and needs of the practice. I edged for over 13 years. It's all about having the right machine for what your selling and processing.
