    Question Adidas drilled rimless

Any opinions about the Adidas drilled rimless? We brought them in a few weeks ago and they are selling well but we have already had one come back with the posts broken off and are experiencing backorder issues.

I take it the steel Adidas may not be as durable as the regular Silhouette rimless.

I do not want to sound like I am picking on anyone, but Jo if there is one product that I will not sell it is that product. I would recommend that you take if off of your boards immediately.

The posts are deffective and they break constantly. We carried them and our customers continually came back with them broken. After a while we had to pull them from our boards. After that I had to put my customers into new frames and lenses at no charge. That product has lost me some customers. We have a two year unconditional warranty, but they still smell ****. The product is the worst frame I have dispensed in all of my life and it was a huge mistake when I brought it into my inventory. I also scold Adidas for still selling it. For the price of that frame it is ridiculous that they would break all of the time like this one, and I do not think it was the customers fault that it broke either.

Jo- my lab manager does not like working with them. We have post troubles too and the fittings actually seem to loosen over time. He loves the Silhouettes.

    Question.......................

Would a post be a new part on a frame I have never heard of, or would it be the temple of the frame ?

For lack of the technical term, I am using "posts" to refer to a Silhouette mounting. Instead of nuts and bolts they have posts that lock into a plastic bushing.

We've stopped carrying them, but we have had 5 or 6 of them come back with broken nose pad mounts from previous sales. Every single one broke in the same place.

I remember when the silhouettes first came out, there was a design problem with the bridge, it was not strong enough to support the mount and lens, consequently they would often snap at the bridge.Silhouette replaced the bridges no quibble , even ones that were over a year old. They then beefed up the design of the bridge and the problem dissapeared, only thing was the old sunclips would not fit the new bridge which caused a few problems.

I am wondering if Adidas are still using the originall designed silhouette bridge, sure sounds like it, and if they are they must know it is a faulty design.
