    Do NOT mess with Shanbaum!

Mere hours after Shanbaum's letter to the editor in the Hartford Courant newspaper on issues dealing with the impending impeachment of Republican Gov. John Rowland, the Gov. announced his resignation. Clearly, the weight of Shanbaum's vote of no-confidence was more than he could take.:bbg:

So beware, those of you in Shanbaum's crosshairs...he's on a roll now.

    That wasn't me!

I was, however, living in Washington, D.C. during that summer, and drove past the Watergate every morning on the way to my cushy government job as an intern.

Perhaps you prefer Jenna and Barbara Anheiser-Bush? Speaking of trashing presidential off-spring, that Nancy and Ronnie had some ugly kids!!!! The one who died--Maureen?--was attractive, if somewhat zoftig, but the other three:EEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWW!

Don't you just love being plain mean and downright petty sometimes??:p

(PS was reading somewhere that the aforementioned--and dissed--Nixon girls were very mannerly and very popular with the Secret Service. Ditto Chelsea. The two Bush girls are shall we say problematic--party animals. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree I guess!!!)

Well, when you never get asked out you're probably pretty easy to keep track of (since we're being petty).

Actually, Chelsea is probably the only "normal" person in that family. I wouldn't want to grow up in any political family, but if I had one parent who felt the whole villiage should raise me (and another who encouraged me to invite over my girlfriends for pajama parties) I'd dare to think I couldn't hope to grow up any better than she seems to have managed!

Now for a REALLY scary confession... I was walking by a newsstand the other day and saw a picture of a woman on a magazine cover. My first impression was "She's attractive- where have I seen her before?" Walking closer, I realized it was none other than Hillary Clinton! After attempting to scratch my eyeballs out, I looked closer and realized why the transformation- she was smiling (not that evil we must destroy the right wing conspiracy grimacing smile, but an honest to goodness I-just-wasted-a-bunch-of-taxpayer-money type smile). Plus, the picture seemed to have been touched up nicely and her hair was actually done in something other than a bowl cut.

I was, however, living in Washington, D.C. during that summer, and drove past the Watergate every morning on the way to my cushy government job as an intern.
I'd like to say I'm even mildly surprised, but picturing you as an intern just isn't challenging at all... All that's left is for whom you interned- Tip O'Neill or Ted Kennedy...

By the way, I'm shocked that the "vast right wing conspiracy" has failed to highlight another of Bill's obvious problems. President Clinton was obviously an alcoholic. I mean, the only way Monica Lewinski is going to look good to me (especially if I'm the most powerful man in the free world) is through MAJOR beer goggles! I was never too upset about the affair- it was the lack of judgement that horrifies me (I mean, at least Kennedy had taste... Marilyn Monroe was a cute dish...).

Pete: You must have read different ideology oriented stuff than I did on Chelsea. Can you say Marijuana? Public drunk and disordilyness, problems at school, etc.

I think later in the "Clinton Presidency" she was so embarised by papa that she straightened up.

"..ideology oriented stuff..on Clelsea." I don't even know what this means?

And Clinton thinks there are people who hate him beyond reason, where did he get that idea?;)

Hate's the wrong (almost paranoid) word, but the idea might have come from his conscience. Frightening would be more accurate.

That he was ultimately impeached for lying under oath is only the tip of the iceberg. (Remember that Al Capone was convicted of tax evasion but not multiple mob murders, etc.)

The White House was crawling with Red Chinese military lobbyists which resulted in declasssification of missile gyroscope technology so they could target the west coast.

Al Gore turned into a bag man, "innocently" accepting cash from the buddist monks, who in turn got it from the Red Chinese military.

He emasculated the U.S. military while selling White House sleep-overs to his socialist Hollywood groupies.

I can forgive his amusing amorous adventures since his seed was all cast upon fellow democrats, but not for endangering our security and selling out our democracy.

If Clinton was ugly and lacked his good-ol'-boy charm, supporters could have seen him for what he really was - a self-centered irresponsible playboy - he might have faced a different ending.
