Do you ever get the feeling that Powell is thinking "Oh to be in combat again and disentangled from this bunch of fools!!":hammer: :hammer: :hammer:

You gotta love Cheney, never let the facts get in the way! Cheney as you know was the big promoter of Chalabi in Washington; Chalabi of course being the major source of the WMD "intelligence" that was the basis for this war. Horrid, horrid man! (Cheney not Chalabi; well him too...)
Do you think I will finally get people to stop telling me " remember 9/11?" :D

Cheney and Chelabi are certainly a pair of jokers by some opinion. Here is a salute to another master of stand-up. His last performance was just over a year ago in Baghdad.
We love the Iraqi Information Minister (CLICK to see Web page.)
In an age of spin, al-Sahaf offers feeling and authenticity. His message is consistent -- unshakable, in fact, no matter the evidence -- but he commands daily attention by his on-the-spot, invective-rich variations on the theme. His lunatic counterfactual art is more appealing than the banal awfulness of the Reliable Sources. He is a Method actor in a production that will close in a couple of days. He stands superior to truth.

"Police in Sweden reveal that furloughed Iraqi Information Minister Muhammed Saeed al-Sahaf may have been involved in the murder of an Iraqi agent in Stockholm 18 years ago ..."

The Coalition has a (volunteer) political representative in this thread, and he has a special holiday message for the Fourth of July. It's the three most recent posts (above), all UPDATED for the holiday.

I have been digging through some recent posts to see what OptiBoarders (on the whole) have to say about Donald Rumsfeld.
G-d, I hope not. I depend on those DoD press conferences to see me through that awkward gap between the Superbowl and the start of the baseball season. Colin Powell hasn't said anything memorable since the PREVIOUS Gulf War: "First we're going to cut it off and then we're going to kill it." I never knew if he was referring to the Iraqi army or a part of Saddam Hussein's anatomy.I'm beginning to think Rumsfeld might be too old ...
