Just a check to see if there are any other counter culture folks who have made it to Optiboard. We've got a lot of time on our hands because we don't have too many virus's to worry about! :bbg:

OptiBoard software works very well with one minor exception:
Using the cursor position (mouse location) to call up temporary (popup window) text displays like "poster reputation" and "thread contents preview" does not work very well. Tendency is for desired information not to become visible.

a Titanium G4 Powerbook-400 MHz w 384 mb ramand 10 gigHD- and at home an Graphite iMac. Powerbook goes in Wed for a 40 gig drive. If you are not using "Panther" OS, you are REALLY missing something special. Upgraded itunes and iphotos make it worth the price alone,to say nothing of Safari browser and the mail program.
Note to Ron- I hear you on the lack of our abilities to use certain features on Optiboard software. It has a been a source of some agrandizment on my part as well. Many of the PC users like to go Nah na Nah na Nah Nah when I can't use certain features............but I manage to get a zing in, once in a while, during the time when PC users are scurrying around like headless chickens during a virus scare!
Every once in a while something comes up of general interest to Apple folk- I'll pass them along as I see them.

Are there any EMR's that work with Macs? Any experiences with them?
We've got two Macs at home: a laptop and a desktop. We got the laptop a little more than three years ago, and the only time we've ever had anything wrong was just recently, the CD burner went out. Happened a day before our warranty expired! They fixed it anyway, and that was when we bought the desktop, and updated the Macbook with Snow Leopard (this happened in oh, April of this year). Before we got those, we (Strider and I) were running Ubuntu on our PCs. I liked it just fine. My sister is totaly frustrated with Windows Vista right now, and she's about to convert to Ubuntu, too (they're just not in a position to purchase a new computer right now).
We don't own iPhones (Strider does have a Droid and loves it, but we have no desire to go to AT&T) or iPads or even an iPod, but we're 100% happy with our computers. We consider ourselves "Mac snobs" now. :)
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.
I've got a G5 desktop, and two Windows laptops. Doesn't matter which system you use, I think. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a fool. Both are simply tools to do what you want with.
