Hi,
Welcome!
The Florida requirements are as follows:
1. Current ABO and NCLE
2. 2 Year degree from an opticianry/ophthalmic dispensing program
or
3 Years licensing from licensed state
or
5 Years working in an unlicensed state
The above prerequisites enable you to take the Florida state licensing board, which has both written and practical components.
To fit contact lenses in Florida, you will require an additional board certification.
Good luck, and let me know if you need additional help.

Hi Laurie,
I have my AS degree and I recently became ABO/NCLE certified in MI, but i am thinking about taking FL license. For the licensing exam, what does it consists of? Is it just laws and practical portion or I've to study both abo/ncle materials again? How can i take the course in florida, so that i can fit contact lenses? Thanks.
