    AutoRefractors

What is the difference of a Subjective Autorefractor and the newer ones of today?

There's been a bunch on eBay lately, and they're "Subjective Autorefractors" Humphrey brand. Not the automated Refractor heads, but actual AutoRefractors. The one's that's been on eBay are brown, and it looks like an eye chart on the back of the machine.

    Hello,

I’ve seen this instrument of Humphrey in the catalogue of used ophthalmic equipments dealer, it is auto refractor with subjective refraction capabilities.

    Best regards,

Thx for the reply, so it's just 'optional' if you want it objective? so it'll truely do an 'auto' refract without patient input?

    Hello,

I've seen this machine only in catalogue and website links and do not know more about it, but I think it's objective auto refractor with subjective verification capability where patient input may be required(for subjective).I am attaching picture of this auto refractor, check it out.

    Best regards,

    Optom

Thanks Optom! That looks to be the same exact thing, except white instead of brown! Your help has been greatly appreciated :)
