It was great to meet the some fellow optiboarders!

I met for the first time:

Pete
Bev
and Billy Brock


I'm sorry I could not stay longer and chat but had some good Laughs (With Bev) and a great chat with Cowboy. Pete was cover (Like the Colts receivers) by Pats fans. And I had to leave shorlty after Billy arrived.


It was a busy show but it was great to have a little time to meet you all!

I enjoyed meeting Mikef, who- for a Pats fan- seemed surprisingly literate and well-spoken (heh, heh- just kidding). I had the "opportunity" to pay my gambling debt by wearing a Patriots cap, and was presented with a really nice copy of the Superbowl program- really, I will keep that in my office. Go Pats! (Okay, that's enough of that, I'm getting nauseous.)

Cowboy was fairly easy to pick out, what with the hat and all. I'm surprised security didn't confiscate his six shooters, however, and I bet the spurs tend to set off the metal detectors in the airports! Really, for those of you who have yet to meet this relatively new OptiBoarder, he's "good folk."

As usual, the group that assembled proved once again that OptiBoarders are some of the classiest people in the business. Its nice to be part of such a pleasant group!

I look forward to seeing even more of us at next year's show!

I went down stairs to the restaurant area, and couldn't find you guys... It was a little after 1:00. I think you changed the venue on me. Anyway, I saw a gentleman with a cowboy hat and western clothes on and just had to ask if it was Cowboy, and found that it wasn't he... He was gracious, however.

We had a table out front and were there from 1- about 1:45. You must have come down somewhere in the middle of the great Trivex vx Poly PAL debate!:D I'm surprised they didn't come down from upstairs and tell us to be quiet! We were really looking forward to seeing you.

Jim Schafer snapped this photo early Saturday AM.
My arm is around Petes shoulder but suddenly Pete disappeared. I saw him later in a white suit, parading around with a tall guy also in a white suit, near the boat and steel band, trying to push "short" corridor lenses! ( if you didn't get to expo you really missed something )

Diane, So sorry that you missed us. Maybe next time, when I make a suggestion for a meeting place I will even include an exact location. That was my bad. There is however, a next time, and until then, I shall enjoy your presence here on the Optiboard.

Mike, I agree, wonderful converstaion and a pleasure to meet your aquantance. I still would like to talk more as our converstaion had to be cut short. BTW, Mr. Keefe will be calling upon sometime this week, thanks for the introduction.

Bev, Although I do not have a reference to your hair, it was delightful to convene with you.You have a plethora of information that I want to get into your head about. Perhaps the forum is not the place so if you don't mind, may I e-mail you direct?

Pete, How nice it was to share experiences of parenthood, and the fear of it!! From a Pat's fan, I hold no grudges for team preference, even if the 'other' team is second rate to the Pats! Also, you will notice that all Pats fans are well spoken and illiterate, oops, I mean "literate"

HC, You my friend are a character. I mean that in the nicest way. I could sit with you for hours and just listen to some of the stories you have to tell.

Billy, Did not have much opportunity to get to know much about you, but from what I was listening to, you would be another person who could feed my appetite for continuos growth for knowledge.

If I missed anyone, I appologize. I am sure there will be more chances in the near future to be reintroduced.

Thanks for the opportunity to meet some of you and I do look forward to your correspondances here on the board and/or future meeting grounds

I don't really think Pete was in the picture, I just think if you notice on the Trivex sign that Younger Optics is being highlighted as the star of Vision Expo!

I'm sorry you didn't make the meeting. We had a spirited debate at the 1PM meeting on the relative merits of Trivex vs you-know-what! Where were you when we needed you? I wish the photo had come out better! Jim sold me on Transitions camera lenses and I think it was out in the sun too long!

I made it, but missed it! I was late getting to the meeting, but went to the wrong place anyway. (In case anyone saw an Amish guy there, he came with me to see what the Big Apple is all about!)

great seeing all you folks there in NY, sorry i was late for the meeting, but got to see a few of you, i think we will all let pete explain about the midget, what a way to advertise, go essilor, the varilux party was great, got to dance with diane, phernell and the group friday night and sat night was the party where Bad Habits, the eye doc rock group, which you have got to hear, these guys are good. Was also great seeing Laurie and all the sisters saturday night. A great show with some very interesting frame displays.
