Hi Ed,
We just used 1.67 with a -6.00 front and obtained the prism through decentration. We ground them to a 50mm blank size and marked them for blocking so they would be easier to edge. They were edged mostly by hand by "a guy called Charlie" (friend and customer of ours). Of course, AR is also extremely important in a prescription like this. We used Carat, putting the Foundation hard coat on before edging and the AR afterwards. More remarkable however, was the refraction that Clive's partner, Jonathan was able to do to restore the patient's binocular vision!

DUH...like did you make them??? I thought I was at least close, til I saw your answer and it was right. Now, it seems you had the inside of it. Cool glasses and great story. Never did get my questions answered. I may have answered better.keithbenjamin said:
Well, I couldn't be 100% accurate! That might look suspicious.
;) :D

That's why Clive said "manufacturing of the lenses from 'you know who.'" You were amazingly close though Diane! Great detective work! I think you should get the prize. Speaking of... Clive hasn't told us what the prize is yet. ;)
Diane, I really think you should get the prize, I'll sort Keith out later!
So, I really promise, next time I'm in your area or we are at some exhibition together, We'll dine out together.
Another suggestion, are you ever likely to be in Haifa????
Well done everyone
Clive
Clive,
I go to most of the larger trade shows in the USA but not outside of it right now. Not that I wouldn't go if given the opportunity. One day soon, I intend to go to see Shabbir's clinic and help him some there. Maybe another opportunity will be in the future to get the Israel.
Keith on the other hand is probably very close...I live just south of Atlanta. Yes, we got some snow just yesterday, Keith. Drove to Macon, though and not a drop there.

So, three and a half years later, I have to resurrect this thread to bring you up to date. There have been changes to this Pt's Rx over the time, more minus and more prism, but just a couple of weeks ago she fell in the street sending the glasses flying (and undamaged!) and knocking her head on the pavement.
After recovering she found she had diplopia, but in the other direction..... in other words her prism has been reduced........interesting ehh?
So this brings me back to what I've always said..... Problem patients.... Bash them over the head!
Hah!
