    Question High End Lines

What are the best high end lines? Not only for looks, but also quality. Currently have Cazal and Donna Karan and are happy with these but would like to add some more.

    UFRICH,

What do consider High End. What qualities are you looking for? What price point do you want to focus on?

I like to use Taxi, Cassanova, Dolce Vita. These are frames that the other ten locations in my five mile radius do not carry. As a matter of fact, the next outlet that sells them are about 35 miles away in Boston, MA. Great selling point for me because i can convince a client that the likely hood that someone will have the same frame is 1 in a million. This is not a lie and purely ethical!!
Do some retail shopping and see what your competitors use for high end, don't get those!! Be unique.
There are several others out there, your Safilo rep has Diors, Yves St. Laurent.
But, your best bet is to visit the third floor of Vision Expo and see what the international stuff has to offer. If not going, give me some specifics of what you are looking for and i can look for you, and take some cards of matching vendors.

    Lightbulb high end lines

ufrich, as a suggestion, i would spend the money and go twice a year to the trade shows such as vision expo in NY, which will be coming up next month, in NYC at the javits center 10th and 38th ave.
This is what i always did when i had my own stores, you get to see the merchandise first hand, you often get show deals, that are better then normal, and you will see a variety of items you never even thought about.
I would also suggest to contact Jerry Huang at www.eyetailor.com
.....They have extremley unique products, i wear one myself

just exactly is a "high end" frame?

We carry some " exclusive" items but lets please define high end!

    Is it cost?

    Quality?

    or Exclusivesness?

I have frames up to $2500.............. and our average is $350.00

sold a couple of those $1100.00 Diors last month as Sunglasses ( there are not Rxable)

Can we get a concrete definition of high end?

    my 2 cents

    Mikol
