    Karen gives birth to a, a, a REPUBLICAN!!!

    Sorry Karen (aka "karen" here on OptiBoard), but that headline seemed appropriate- I can change it if you like.

    Karen sent several pictures of David Nathaniel Ayres, who was accurately described as "seven pounds, nine ounces, and a little red but very cute." Along with the pictures came a directive to "not post any pictures which don't make me look beautiful." Well, karen looked fine in all the photos, but I figured I'd just show a pic of the little guy with his eyes open.

    So, congratulations to Karen and her husband Brian! Raise him up right and teach him how to just hit the "R" button!!!

    Hi everybody! He weighs 7 lbs, 9 oz. 19 3/4 inches long born 12:50 pm on Saturday, Jan 31st. He was anxious to get here and came before his scheduled arrival ( 2/9)-couldn't even wait for his dad to get to the hospital! Eating like a horse and keeping us awake at night. Already signed him up for the NRA and the Young Republicans group out here....I wonder if they make Bush in 2004 onesies ;)

    Let me just say that David is a fine looking young conservative child. Raise him right (the conservative way) or he'll grow up to be a tree huggin' hippy ;) Just kidding :D

    I hope mother and child are doing well and look forward to the day you visit the Dallas area and maybe the wife, daughter and I can see you all in person.

    A question. Is this your first child? Please forgive me since I can't remember.

    Take care and be sure to pinch that baby twice a day. Oh and bring him to me and I'll have a gun in his hands in no time :)
