was told at the other place that the specs will be the same.
( and written on the back of the bus. card)
i made silh. rimless , poly AR everything is perfect: tilt, Pd etc.
COMPLAINS+- OBJECTS LOOK BOWED OUT.( I suspect uncorrected astigmatism)

As in a previous post, I described a person who is not an optician but owns an optical shop who will make glasses by "what's written on the contact lens box" or "the contact lens Rx). This is one reason why I insist that a "contact lens Rx" should be only a spectacle Rx with the words "O.K. for Contacts" on it. This way the person selling the contacts is also fitting the contacts and theoretly would have some concept of what he is doing.

"Contact Lens Precriptions" when written as a "use this only" direction don't give you cylinder, axis or vertex compenstation. I had one last week were the idiot doctor precribed a spherical soft lens (he was hacked because the patient was not purchasing his optical merchandise from the O.D.) for a patient with a -4.75 cylinder.

Call the precriber and ask for the spectacle Rx, if he doesn't hide behind Hippa or expiration dates you may find the problem.

Remember the first rule of the optical business: "Don't trust anybody." Chip

Check the base curves of previous glasses.

Also check face form of new glasses, and old glasses. Also check power, PD, and everything else in the old pair. Maybe there is cylinder in the previous Rx, or adjustment may be way off in old pair. Check all of the parameters in old pair and compare to new pair. Sometimes it's a matter of adjustment.

    Let us know the outcome.

Don't see how it would matter much with this Rx but do not forget verticle centers, especially if you are using poly.

Also high mypoes, although I certianly would not concider this to be a high mypoe complain of curved surfaces (desktops, etc.) on removing contacts and viewing through spectacles immeadiately thereafter. But even with most high (over 6 diopter) myopes this receeds after 15 minites or so.

Maybe your patient is just overly sensitive to image size, and peripherial distortion changes.

I thank everyone for your help.
I told the pt. to bring his old glasses, and will also have our OD to re-check his eyes. I'll let you know tomorrow.
    Thank you again.
