Since Economy is so soft and slow there are lots of Lay offs , unemployed, homeless etc..

Did you made 100k or 500k per year or years ever by being:
I mean in Long term

A) Employee
Salesperson
Optician
Lab Tech
Contact Lens Fitter
B) Employer
Owner of your own biz Property your specialty as above.

Please be exact, in other words, "Don't walk around the bush"

Allowing for inflation, I probably have made that in the past as an employee contact lens tech. But there is no money in contacts anymore so you would not make that now. It used to be a skilled and respected job, now you might as well be a shoe salesman.

Today to make that kind of money in the optical business you probably at least need to be self employed. To make that as an employee you need to marry or at least sleep with the the doctor you work for.

I have hit the 100k mark once, several years ago.
I owned my own store.

The following year, major competition moved next door
and thus, I have never seen 100k again.

My store is no more and I expect that working as an
employee now, will never see 100k again.

Hello as i understand these is all from Indepedent Optical Stores but what about big companies (e.g. LensCrafters/LC, Pearle Vision/PV). Also where the owners of the stores, i get the Prez of USA and Economy got you to the core of your heart and pocket. :(
