    Briot patternless question

    Hmmm...
    Realllllly frustrated.
My Briot's limit on "B" measurements is 24 - that's terrible. Eliminates quite a few kids frames and some other petite ones.
Am hjaving to send all "small B" frames to my lab for C&E and it's costing a fortune.
    Input anyone? Similar experiences?

I have not worked on a Briot patternless, but on a Santenelli you can go into your setup menu and change your min. B settings.

Cut the plastic block, make it narrower. Should be able to do a 20, we do that with our Accura.

Not sure on the Briot, I adjusted some of the Gerber Pro and Elite edgers by changing the R- hard stop in back of machine to cut smaller B dimensions.

Please tell me if I'm right here. Use the - sign and put in the number of the below it would be. Usually you would put the seg hi. If the B were 39 and the hi was +11. Normally you would put in hi of +11. now put in -7.5 -- 39/2=18.5 18.5-11=7.5 . Let me know if this solves it.

I know. I worked on a briot and that was one of the downfall. The limit on the B measurement. I don't know about you but the next paternless edger I'm getting would be different.

Mermaid, what verson of the Briot edger do you have? If it is an Accura CX, CL or silver it should have a min "b" size around 20mm for bevel.

If you have a CX then you need a program update and the new 17mm chucks.

Unfortunaly if your edger has a black and white screen then you can't use the new programing.

That's interesting, I will ask our supplier in the Uk.
Problem is if it is something they aren't 'au fait' with they just pretend it doesn't exist.

I love our Accura but the amount of stuff it refuses to do is a joke.
