Anyone in San Diego, CA ?

I am going to be moving south to San Diego this coming weekend and I was curious as what to expect. What is the job climate down there? What lenses are dispensed primarily? Where is a good place to seek employment? etc........ I will be commuting about an hour and a half each way until I find something down south. Thanks in advance if anyone down there sees this:D

There was an upscale outfit in La Jolla looking for help a while back. The put a couple of blurbs in the Optical Jobs forum below. Sorry I can't remember the name but perhaps a search might locate the posts. I do remember the person making the request had posted to the regular forums so its an optiboarder for sure.

aaron, do a little networking with you frame/lab reps and talk to manufacturers reps. Even if they don't cover that area, they have friends who do and may know of an opening. Also if the doctor you work for now is a Vision West member I would call your VW rep, she knows practically everybody and anyone she doesn't know, someone at VW will- quite a few of the girls there used to work at a large lab in SD that shall remain nameless where I also used to work and they know the SCOOP in SD. I appreciate the info. I will probably pass on that information to someone I know, but I am now a sales rep for charmant in SD and christian roth for the whole southwest. But as you know there are always opticians looking for positions so I actually know someone who might be able to benefit from one or two of those listings (depending on who listed them

The Christian Roth sunglasses are fantastic. I have a 80 year old fashionista in a pair of the Star System, with RX lenses. The look amazing on her.
