It was accepted practise in Babylon 4000 years ago that a month after a wedding, the brides father would supply his son-in-law with all the "Mead" (A beer made with honey) he could drink. The Babylonian calendar was lunar based and these two facts combined is apparently the reason we have things called "Honeymoons". (If you thought about this fact at all on YOUR honeymoon...chances are, you didnt have a very good time!)
