Binoculars

Last fall I had a few requests for binoculars; mostly from sportsmen during the hunting season. I was a little upset with myself that I didn't have anything to offer them and was thinking of stocking a few pair.

On a few occasions, I made it a point to look at some quality binoculars at a sporting goods store and also in some catalogs. I am very unimpressed with the way these retailers educate their consumers who are shelling out several hundred dollars for a quality investment. Therefore I believe a professional with experience in optics will be much more credible to understand the products and match them with consumer demands.

Does anyone know of an optical supplier that quality binoculars such as Zeiss, Nikon, Swavorski, etc can be aquired ?

Go on the different websites of ZEISS ect and look for a page of distributors. In Europe opticians have always sold quality binoculars.

Kevin, its a great idea, that i used with great success when i had my own store, also sold telescopes, you,re right , who better to explain it. Actually its done fairly commonly over in europe.
....I sold a brand of binoculars by Swift and some german comany whose name escapes me right now, its a great money maker at xmas time.
