[bc]21st CENTURY OPTICS REWARDS EYECARE PROFESSIONALS FOR SUCCESS WITH TRANSITIONS®, VARILUX® AND CRIZAL® LENSES[/bc]
PINELLAS PARK, Fla., Aug. 26, 2003 – More than 200 eyecare professionals from the New York metropolitan area attended “The Best of New York,” a celebratory event held by 21st Century Optics on Aug. 2, which recognized eyecare professionals for exceptional growth with Transitions®, Varilux® and Crizal® lenses.

Eyecare professionals who reached their growth target goal for Transitions®, Varilux® or Crizal® lenses purchased from 21st Century Optics April 1 to June 30 were invited to the event. Practices that exceeded their target amount also received additional entries into a prize drawing held during the event.

“‘The Best of New York’ brought together the best eyecare professionals in the area, the best lens products like Transitions®, Varilux® and Crizal®, and the best lab, 21st Century Optics,” said Anthony Fulco of 21st Century Optics. “This event was an effective way to work with our manufacturing partners to conclude a highly successful promotion.”

The event was held at Copacabana in New York City. The best of New York food, music and dancing were the highlights of the evening. Theater tickets, a helicopter ride, day spa certificates and a tour of Manhattan were among the prizes including in the drawing.

Fulco Promoted
Another highlight of the evening was the announcement of Fulco’s promotion to vice president of sales and marketing, 21st Century Optics. “We hired Anthony five years ago as this company’s first sales and marketing employee,” said Ralph Woythaler, president, 21st Century Optics. “Since then, he has proven his commitment to the growth of this company and our customers, and his contributions are reflected in our sales growth, as well as in our reputation in the industry.”
