Opticians Association of America Convention?

Well, I missed the meeting in N'awlins last June, the OAA's web page is down and I've not been able to find out when and where the convention is this year, and we have to plan to go if we are going to get to go, same is true of the Texas opticians association. out there Jim?

Judy, so it's gonna be in Anaheim? When, where, etc.? As of yesterday, the oaa.org site wasn't good anymore? A couple weeks ago, they were still showing convention info about New Orleans 2000 convention, I e-mailed them about this and got zero response? you may have better connections!

The old OAA website was www.opticians.org and it's not working anymore. The new site is www.oaa.org and it was working when I checked yesterday.

Judy...and Diane, thanks for the update on the OAA webpage...I know it's taken them a while to update it since Jackie left, but they've done a really good job of it. Congrats to those involved..and I really appreciate them giving the Guild a page too! (of course they could put a list of "past chairmen" too.) ha ha. Now I need to see if I can make it to NY,NY to Disneyland and to Six flags over Texas! talk about a roller-coaster schedule!

Hello Al, and every one else out there.

The Texas (TOPS) convention will be May 11through 13,2001. In Arlington, Texas, at the La Quinta Hotel and Conference Center. Registration and info will come in late February. As soon as I have info on speakers and courses, I will let you know. I hope to see you there Al, It is practically next door to you. Anyone out there that wants to come down to Arlington for a great meeting, consider yourself invited. Arlington is the home of the Texas Rangers, and hopefully they will be playing that weekend. Jim, It would be nice to see y'all again in Arlington, checked the schedule, come a day early, see the Rangers play the Mariners on the 10th, they'll be in Aneheim for that weekend! of course the horse racing is just up the road and six flags is always great! Al.
