Vision Expo West OptiBoard Meeting

So who is planning to go to Vision Expo West in Las Vegas? The dates are Sept. 17-20.

Also does anyone want to suggest a time and place for an OptiBoarders meeting? My schedule is wide open so I can accomodate anything.

I'll be there. I am free after 12:00 Friday. Saturday will be a problem as the seminars I present are 4 hours back to back.

during the dates of Expo, I will be "hosting" my daughter's wedding in San Diego, and unable to attend.

Suggestion:

Since a lot of people are going to be committed to various activities,
why not try to meet at breakfast on Saturday say, an hour before the show opens. Its usually not to crowded and for sure the one time that everyone will be free. just a thought from harry j

I'll be there Wed-Fri afternoon. My flight leaves Friday around 2:00 pm. I'm up for the early morning thing, but unless it's Friday morning I'm not likely to make it. I still do not have my full itinerary of meetings for the trip, but I really hope to hook up with the Optiboarders!

I'm going to arrive Thursday aftwernoon and leave on Saturday. Based on what others have posted it looks like the best time to meet will be Friday morning. Any suggestions on a place to meet?

I arrive Thursday afternoon and leave Saturday night. Lecture most of Saturday. Friday lecture is only from 10:45 - 11:45...so early Friday or noonish...for me.
Has anyone contacted Live Eyewear, again? They have a cool booth.

I am arriving Monday, September 15th and departing Saturday night. I have never attended an Optiboard meeting and would like to meet other members. I could possibly do Friday morning but usually I am very busy for the show hours.

No, I did not fall off the face of the earth. So sorry I have been lax about staying in touch with our fellow Optiboarders. I will be in Viva Las Vegas Tuesday through Friday night. On Friday morning I will be lecturing from 10:45 to 11:45. It would be great to see everyone again!

Perhaps we should consider meeting in the food court at the Venetian. I met with some clients there last year and it is very large, very convenient and located near all of the VEW action.

They serve coffee and a variety of other goodies in the morning and there is plenty of seating if you get there early enough. There is a map of the main floor at the following URL:

The food court is around the corner (to the right), after you pass the main lobby/registration desk. If not the Venetian, I am willing to ask my employer if we can converge upon the Shamir booth Friday morning. Let me know!

I will probably be there from Wednesday evening (late) to Saturday afternoon.

Would anyone feel uncomfortable meeting at the Essilor Booth? My co-workers hear me talk incessantly about the values of OptiBoard and- frankly- it would be interesting to show them the power that you all truly wield.

Of course, I realize there are those of us who work at companies with a competitive interest against mine, so if you would feel uncomfortable meeting at our booth, just say so and I'll drop the suggestion.

On the other hand, if everyone would like to meet there, I can start seeing if I couldn't possibly arrange some refreshments or some chatzche...

Let me know- just a thought.

Okay then, I'll be in Dallas next week and I'll try to make arrangements with our event coordinator (to see if Essilor can do this hosting thing properly, like our good friends at LIVE have in the past). We have one of the most wonderful ladies in the world who always takes care of everyone's arrangements- if something special can be done, she'll get it done for sure.

I'll get back with y'all with what I find out by Wednesday next week!

How does 10am-Noon on Saturday work for everyone? Our promotional director says Essilor can provide refreshments (i.e., sodas and a snack), and we can also have one of the conference rooms if we require (although we are also free to have our run of the booth as well).

Does this sound like a plan?
