    MiyoSmart lenses for Myopia control

Anyone with experience using these lenses?
Currently not available in the US as not yet FDA approved.

I haven't personally used them as I'm a little too old, but from what I've found for the people they are compatible with, they seem to be quite effective, and non-tols are very uncommon in my experience!
Hoping someone else adds their experience though as I'm curious how they've found them.

It looks interesting, not sure how it is different from other digital lenses with a boost on the bottom relieve eyzen etc.

Not sure doctors are going to be rushing to put this to market when you can charge a lot more for Ortho K.

Have a former optometry lecturer who dispenses these regularly, she swears by them as being noticeably more consistent than progressives for myopia control (and she's meticulous to a fault in her record keeping, if I had to take someone's word for it, I'm inclined to take hers).

Apparently it's a type of concentric peripheral defocus single vision, similar to the old Zeiss MyoVision. Except that the concentric peripheral defocus (IIRC up to 2.00 dioptres sphere of defocus) is created by multiple 'lenslets' (little convex bumps) on the peripheral front surface. Have personally seen the lenses and felt the lenslets before.
